Sudha Bariatrics

(A comprehensive medical weight loss program)

The term Bariatric is derived from the Greek word "bari"; meaning weight. Bariatric physician is a specialist in Bariatric medicine which is an art and science of medical weight management.

Dr.Patwardhan started Family medicine practice six years ago. Amongst her patient population, she found that there is high prevalence of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, diabetes. As a chronic disease, overweight and obesity increases risk of above diseases. Studies have shown that even a weight reduction of 10% can significantly reduce individual's health risks for heart attack, stroke, osteoarthritis, certain cancers, sleep apnea etc.

This inspired Dr.Patwardhan to specialize in Bariatric Medicine (overweight and obesity management) to improve heart health and related other medical problems. She is pleased to announce that now she is board certified to practice Bariatric Medicine (Medical weight loss); the weight loss program we offer is Sudha Bariatrics.

We look forward to "Happy, successful losers" in our practice.
